The Fall Of The Catholic Church: other deacon dismissed for abuses
-ARTICLE -
After of discover the abuses committed by Cura Fernando Karadima when the journalist Juan Carlos Cruz was a child, and after he looked justice through evidence and witnesses, now the church is deeply questioned thanks to the investigations of journalism. It was the same Juan Carlos Cruz who called for Pope Francis went to the Vatican to clarify his accusations and receive his forgiveness.
Chilean journalism has had to face different types of investigation for sexual abuse within the Catholic Church. It's as well as this career, which is the fourth regulating power of the world. The journalism arrives to discover through to investigations the cases of corruption of the biggest institutions to make justice.
In this case, I choose an article of the last sexual abuse, which occurred in 2017 at "The Cabras School" in Rancagua. After a year of investigation, this July 6 was announced the judgment of the Vatican against The deacon Luis Rubio, author of the crimes of improper conduct and abuse of minors in the establishment. The Catholic Church it was forced to take the extreme measure of the expulsion of the deacon. But well... we know that this is the least that can be done to repair the gigantic damages that they cause to the families that trust in the church.

A movie that I like and A movie that I hate
Cloud Atlas
One of my favorites movies is Cloud Atlas. Its a movie based in a book written by David Mitchell, and it's about invisible conexion between six person of different season of the history. This six person are heroes and bad murderers. The movie show the actor a in a past of the 20th century to the apocalyptic future, and always there are the same actors becouse represent the same person in an other time of the world. I like to much this movie becouse demostrated how the protagonist evolve, make revolutions and change their values according their contexts. Inside the movie show historic of love, of couples, family, and to the money and to the goals aspirations.
A movie that I hate
I used to hate horror movies, but the movie that more I hate it's The Lovely Bones. This movie it's about a teenager who is murderer and violated by her neighbour. I hate this movie becouse show the dead like something happy, and it's not this way. the movie show the spirit of the girl, as if she would continue to live and created and history about terrible facts and made it a movie, that exploiting an theme so delicated, that maybe a child think that exist the heaven when the unic important and real that exist now it's this life , and stop the violators.

A perfect song for me
This song is a piece of art by Queen, written by Freddie Mercury in 1976, of the disc "A Day at the Races". It combines an opera voice with rock instruments. The song follows a fast, slow, strong, intense rhythm; electric guitar; piano and bass that reflects what it feels inside the singer.
When Freddie Sings, he is entering the character of a man in love, who feels like a millionaire to feel and desire the love of his beloved, and asks at least a little of her love. He wants to share love and with that he feels that he can live in abundance, with spring and rebirth. Mention even the rain as moments of happiness.
The problem of the song develops when his lover goes away.
In the end of the song the madness of the singer is demonstrated, when he says "come back to me, oh my love". When he knows that his love is gone and he calls her with all his being, desperate. Then, the guitar calms the storm of Freddie, and he finally understands that he must leave the love as a friendship, but a friendship to which he will gift his love forever. The interesting thing about this song is even the richest in the world can suffer an unrequited love. All the same, Freddie feels like a millionaire and he wants to share his abundance. He teach us that love born from the inside and then out, and we never stop of be millionaires.

Every Photo Tells a Story
This photo has never
been published.
Well, I don't have
much money to travel, I don't have money and enough independence for that,
however, when I have fun it's about that and If I need know other places, well,
I dare everything.
This photo was taken
on the day of national holidays. It was the anniversary of Chile's
independence. With my friends, we decided to go to a disco; That night we
danced until 6 o'clock in the morning, after to have drunk an
earthquake/terremoto, energetic, and have eaten empanadas. Then, they take me
home at seven o'clock and for go to sleep i drink a warm milk.
Maybe, the person
who reads this will think "What's so extravagant to go dancing with your
friends?". The truth is that this was a new moment for me, and very
significant. In my life, I had never been to a gay club, and when I went
dancing for the first time, I had never done it before. On the dance floor you
could listen to pop, reggaeton and even Brazilian songs by Axé Bahía that date
back to 2002.
It was really an
exceptional outing, obviously I won't say what else my friends did. After
getting drunk and dancing all night, they took care of leaving me at home.
My first year in the
University it was great! I discovered
new people and new places that taught me to don't have to do different things.
One Reflection About Feminist strikes and tomas
After
almost two months of strikes and sit in of university feminist activities take
over. The request case it was approved at the dialogue table established
between students and ICEI authorities
What will change in the school of communication: a tri-state ethics
committee will be create, the suspension of misogynistic professors will be
apply, and who have abused their power or position will be sanctioned.
Communication and gender evaluations will be created, in addition to establishing
bases in non-sexist communication. Something that never before seen in
Journalism, an career that are part of the humanities but help to create
realities adhering to patriarchy in the past.
The university community has changed: the union of the participants
in the ICEI come back stronger, with places in spaces of Soror, despite of the
misunderstandings, the violence has been changed and the communication has
united men and women towards the path of deconstruction and work for this.
I hope that in the future these changes are made and that our secure
space within ICEI can also expand to the whole country of Chile, so that the
sea is safer, less ignorant and less violent.

Students' Manifestations: STRIKES AND TOMAS
The last manifestations in the University of Chile.
The feminist strike has united 14 universities that are now in toma.
If you ask me what is my personal opinion about this issue, the difference between womens and mens, I affirm that I'm in favor. First becouse I'm a woman, I'm a student and I'm a feminist. I'm feeling very glad that this manifestation has become feminist and at the same time national, historical way on our country and also on a world level.
There have been many legislative problems with respect to gender abuses. There have been strikes and marches every year to end the murders of women. The power of law has always been in favor of men. Constitutions have been created by men, who haven't idea what it means to be sexually abused.
The roles of the students have lost value because of the teachers who still have mansplaining in their classes. This hasn't really helped the female ego and self-confident, that always has many different pressures.
That is why we continued to keep on manifestations, for to have a solution for the part of the university authorities, we want to improve our environment through gender equity.
The revolution is feminist or not.

Santiago from my study program's point of view
I can analyze Santiago of my point of view in a way of turist. Its more easy if I think that Santiago it's not my native city, and think that I come to Santiago for study in Ñuñoa.
Journalism make that I think Santiago it's like a revolution of news, and everytime happened things that the people don't hope. Maybe the city its not safe, but the people should know how take care us self.
Santiago it's very strange city becouse have a lots types of persons like a "flaites"and "cuicos", and you cant find us in differnt places of Santiago, but don't think that everyone its that way, but generally it's like that.
I was thinking about the best way to analyze Santiago through a social and cultural way. There are many places in the capital where you can learn a lot, however, it's difficult because different social people often mix a lot.
To give an example of this, I will mention the commune of Recoleta, which is where I live. Recoleta is a historic space for our country, where existed the firts chimbas and popular meetings of the colony were created. Here, in 2018, there is a mix of people who don't know the history of our culture, because they are usually foreigners.
In the streets of Recoleta you can see a large number of Haitians, Venezuelans and Peruvians. They know very little about our culture in the colony and our Chilean roots. This means a problem only until someone decides to learn.
Recoleta also, in a very transversal sense, since it has very tourist places like the San Cristobal hill, the metropolitan zoo that is there, the house of Pablo Neruda, and others.
Where you can see people with lots of money is in Bellavista, who are usually young people who will share the Patio Bellavista; In the same way, on the other side of the sector there are people with less money who drink and get drunk in the sectors to drink cheaper beer.

Why did you choose this study programme?
I chose this university programa because I like many subjets: Mathematics, biólogy, history and this, the last its the most important. Journalism review all possible áreas from a very summary view.
After, a while I decided that I would like to improve academically in the area of humanistic sciences.
I think it is important that a person knows how to articulate himself and have his own opinion. That nobody can buy it.
I may not practice journalism in the future, but I will be happy to have spent years of my life reading books and forging myself. who knows after studying another career, I do not know.
What I like most about my career is television and radio. Also I have the authority to ask and investigate other people.

Dreaming a Little
When I was
child I want to be an inventor, because I liked play with everything that I founded.
When I study in the Kinder Garden I used to think that the imagination was all
that existed and can be possible any dreams.
Also, in
the school, I think that could be publicist and create slogan phrases for my
own products in my company, all this then that I discover that be an inventor
it is not profession and the science isn’t have inversion in Chile.
Well, but
the life want other things for me, and I decided for the Journalism but I think
study advertising after my first career. For decide the first option I made a
selection of my interest and I chose the interest that I liked more.
My experience
in the University until now make feel glad, but its difficult if you don’t like
read, like me in a beginning , but now I like and I know that my mark will
improve.
I would
like write in book of science and culture. Also I would like work in the around
the world.

Josefa: Interview classmate
G: when and where were you born?
J: I was born in Rancagua , in 1995
G: what do you like to do in your free time?
J: I like to spend time with my cat, Chimuelo. Read when I'm traveling, watch series like Bojack Horseman, the last one I saw. I'd like to say painting but lastly I only do it for the university. Sleeping is always a good idea and I guess I like to go to museums and art galleries.
G: what it's the last show that you see in the museums and galleries?
J: The last thing I saw and I absolutly loved it was the Monica Bengoa exhibition at the Fine Arts Museum here in Santiago. It was a sort of retrospective and recopilation of her life work. She works with photographical images and translate it to another materials and graphic realities, usually in big formats that impacts when you see it.
G: If you had to recommend something about art and galleries, what would it be?
J: Do you mean if I have to recommend an artist? Well, I guess it would be the Patricia Vargas exhibition at the MAVI. She is a teacher from my faculty and an amazing painter and sculptor. The pieces of the exhibition are drawings, mixed media and watercolours. It's called ''Vuelo Vertical'', and it is dedicated to her husband who passed away.
G: do you like Frida Kahlo?
J: I used to love Frida Kahlo when I was in highschool, I did researchs about her for school works for the Art class. I think I was sort of amazed for her aesthetic very typical of Mexico muralism. When I came here to study Plastic Arts, I met a bunch of contemporary painters that pulled of all of my previous tastes in art. I still like her but I think she is missunderstanded just for pop culture, she is seen like a product.
